How verification works

Four steps

  3. Check the statusValid, suspended, withdrawn or expired
  4. Compare detailsName, sites, scope and expiry must match
StatusMeaning
ValidCertification is current until the expiry date, subject to surveillance.
SuspendedTemporarily invalid. The organisation may not claim certification.
WithdrawnCertification has ended.
ExpiredThe certificate passed its expiry date without renewal.
Not foundNo BVS certificate matches. Contact us — we investigate suspected false certificates.
